With all the telehealth changes, can PCPs still do virtual visits in 2025? Haven't seen a clear answer on how billing is working this year. Any info would be super helpful!

Yes, PCPs can generally still do virtual visits this year but the landscape for billing is a bit complex.
We should expect some changes after September 30, 2025 unless the congress takes further action.
Regarding billing, CMS has introduced new CPT codes for telemedicine services (98000-98015) in 2025.
However, Medicare has generally not adopted these new codes, preferring to continue with existing E/M codes (like 99202-99215) for virtual visit with specific Place of Service (POS) codes.
Medicare will continue to reimburse many telehealth services at the same rate as in-person visits for approved services.
It's important to stay updated on payer-specific policies, as private insurers might have different coding requirements.

Simple and sweet answer is yes. I think what I like about this generation of tech is that telemedicine is getting more and more improved. That helps because rural places can already be reached by professionals easier and virtually while in the preliminaries.
